Create a Data View that groups or aggregates data based on a common value, like a state name, neighborhood, or zip code.

1. Go to the Data View Templates page. Click the button to CREATE NEW DATA GROUP under Group.

1. Give your Data View a Title. Click the toggle for on or off if you want to make this data public.

1. Select a Data Source. Here we will use the NYC Tree Census data source. The Columns will automatically populate with a preview of the columns and description of the columns from the data source.

1. Choose the columns to add to your Data View. Here we will add the columns: boroname, tree_id, status, spc_common, zipcode.

1. Scroll down. Under Group Data, select the column you want to group. Here will group by the column called “boroname”, or the NYC Borough in which that tree is located.
